Kinston Police Department detectives conducted a follow-up investigation after receiving a report involving the unlawful disclosure of private images of an adult female victim. The victim reported that an acquaintance, 30-year-old Tysheem Mills, had posted private images of her on his social media account.
On November 21, 2025, at approximately 2:05 a.m., officers responded to a report of a gunshot wound at the Circle K on N. Herritage Street. Upon arrival, officers located 59-year-old Thomas Watson suffering from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. EMS transported Watson to ECU Health for treatment.
On November 26, 2025, at approximately 11:40 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s C-Squad responded to Carver Courts regarding a reported disturbance.
On November 28, 2025, a C Shift deputy conducted a traffic stop near Jim Sutton Road and U.S. Highway 70. The occupants, Virginia Stancil and Bobby Thomas, were investigated after deputies confirmed Thomas had outstanding warrants.

On November 20, 2025, at approximately 8:41 p.m., Kinston Police Department B-Squad officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the area of Old Snow Hill Road. Officers also received information that the suspect was at a residence in the 2200 block of Old Snow Hill Road.
On November 20, 2025, Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office C Shift, along with members of the Sheriff’s Crash Reduction Team and the Kinston Police Department, located a stolen motor vehicle in the area of Lowe’s in Kinston.
On November 13, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., a power transformer used to provide electricity to Deep Run residents was stolen from the 3700 block of Old Highway 11.
On November 17, 2025, at approximately 1:43 a.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s C-Squad attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a 2018 Nissan Altima for a traffic violation in the area of Greenbriar Road. When officers activated their emergency blue lights, the vehicle failed to stop and fled from the scene.
On November 16, 2025, KPD’s B-Squad officers responded to a residence on the 600 block of East Washington Avenue for a reported disturbance. Upon arrival, officers attempted to investigate the incident; however, the disturbance continued.
On November 16, 2025, deputies assigned to C Shift responded to a call from a vigilant citizen reporting a male subject walking around a church with a flashlight in the 3700 block of Banks School Road. A deputy arrived on scene within two minutes of dispatch and detained the individual, who was identified as Frankie Lee Tucker Jr. of Kinston. Tucker was taken into custody on an active parole violation warrant.
A narcotics investigation conducted by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrest of a Lenoir County woman on multiple drug trafficking charges.
On November 8, 2025, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department’s A-Squad responded to a residence on the 500 block of Fields Street in reference to a reported gunshot victim. Upon arrival, officers located 40-year-old Zachary Stackhouse suffering from gunshot wounds to both legs. Stackhouse was transported to ECU Health for medical treatment.
We’ve taken several recent reports of scammers calling seniors claiming they’ve won money or a new car from “Publisher’s Clearing House.” The catch? They ask you to send money or gift cards to “claim” the prize.
Continuing an extensive investigation, detectives have determined that the homicide investigated earlier this week was premeditated and orchestrated by siblings Quandarius Rawl and Davida Rawl to murder Davida’s ex-spouse, Ryechic Harper.
On October 28, 2025, at approximately 10:43 a.m., officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to 405 Manning Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located 31-year-old Ryechic Harper, who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, Harper succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

On October 17, 2025, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes and Rapid Response Team (SCARR) conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling into Lenoir County along NC-58 North near Taylor Heath Road. During the stop, deputies developed probable cause to search the vehicle.
On October 20, 2025, officers from KPD’s A-Squad responded to the intersection of Herritage Street and Daniels Street in reference to a vehicle versus bicyclist crash.
