Howard Lynwood Davis II, age 65, of Kinston, NC went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2026. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Westview Cemetery, with Pastor Bert Potter officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Patricia Irene Igo, 82, of Kinston, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in Dover, North Carolina.
A Mass of Celebration will be held on Thursday, July 9th, 2026, 2PM, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Kinston, NC. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home prior to the service from 11 AM to 12 PM. Burial will follow on Friday, July 10th, 2026, 11 AM, at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Clayton, NC.
Rev. James “Jimmy” Herbert Miller Jr., 98, went home to be with his Lord on July 1st, 2026. He was a United Methodist minister for over 40 years, serving in the NC Conference, where he was currently the oldest living member.
Rosa Ann Osborne Chaney went to heaven on June 25th, 2026 while surrounded by her loved ones. Born on August 16, 1937, in Halifax County, Virginia, Rosa lived a life defined by faith, family, friendship, and service.
Janice Earl Oakley Pike, 74, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2026, and entered the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Grimsley Church at 42 Blizzard Rd., Snow Hill, N.C. 28580 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m.
Elizabeth "Beth" Ann McNeill Enzor passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 19, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Mr. Jonathan David Shackelford, known best to all as “Jon,” passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, June 17, 2026, at his home. A Celebration of Life will be held 2 PM Saturday, June 20th, at the Chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. The family will greet friends and extended relatives immediately following the service and other times at the residence.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Rouse Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at Rouse Funeral Home, with committal following at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery at 12:00 noon.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection and Celebration of the Life of Jimmy, will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at 3:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 2101 N. Herritage St., Kinston, NC. The family will receive friends following the service in Hamilton Hall at the church.
