Patricia Ann Means Steele, 93, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center, surrounded by the love and presence of her family. The family will gather for a private service on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the mausoleum chapel in Wayne Memorial Park. Pastor V. Allen Stocks will officiate the service.

Judy Gail Haskins Adams, 74, of Trenton, NC, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00- 2:00 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home prior to the service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with Frank Emory officiating. Burial will follow immediately after service at Banks Family Cemetery in Comfort, NC.
Mildred Page Hogarth passed on December 26, 2025, holding the hand of her daughter, Mary Page. Her graveside service will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, North Carolina, on Tuesday, January 6, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend, and a reception celebrating Mickey’s life will be held at the Kinston Country Club after.
La Grange- Raymond Thomas Pridgen, 86, passed away peacefully at his home late on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025. A service of love and remembrance will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Elders William Edwards and Ernest Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. A private committal will be held at Mewborn Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Lemuel Sutton Hardy, 73, completed his course of faith and entered into rest in the arms of his Savior early Christmas morning, December 25, 2025. A service of love and remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Wheat Swamp Christian Church, with Pastor Hank Jarman officiating. Committal will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Andrew Jackson “Andy” Harrison Jr., 55, passed away on December 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family while under the compassionate care of Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Andy was born in Lenoir County on December 20, 1969, to Jack and Myrtle Harrison.

Betsy Sutton Gray, 87, peacefully went home on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born April 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Lorena Sutton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Gray.

Jonas “J.N” Nathan Hill III, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and a recent bout with cancer. Jesse Ray Burkett Sr., 83, of 1373 Sumrell Road Kinston, NC 28501 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday December 7, 2025, at UNC Lenoir Hospital. He was born February 15, 1942, to the late William Bryant and Lady Dell Parrish Burkett in Jones County.

Virgil Lee Eubanks, 84, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. Born September 17, 1941, to the late Guy Thornton Eubanks and Mary Waters Eubanks, Virgil lived a life dedicated to family, entrepreneurship, and community service.
