Obituary: Miranda Hill Wiggins

Miranda Hill Wiggins (49) was born on August 1, 1977, and died on October 27, 2026.

Miranda lived with a passion and tenacity that made her a truly incredible mother, wife, sister, friend, pharmacist and leader. Throughout her school years at Parrott Academy, Moss Hill Elementary, Woodington Middle School and South Lenoir High School, Miranda displayed a love for others and a drive for excellence that culminated in receiving her Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2001. She carried those same traits into her career. She was a strong advocate not only for her customers, but for community pharmacies as a whole. Working alongside her father at Kinston Clinic Pharmacy and serving her community was her lifelong dream and she considered it a privilege to do so these past 25 years.

Miranda’s proudest achievement by far, was her family. She married Kevin in 2006. A decade later, in 2016 they rang in the new year with Cleo. They completed their household two years later with Cade. Time spent with Kevin and the girls was her greatest joy and comfort. She delighted in watching each of them grow daily into two incredible young spirits. Miranda has already taught them how to live as she did: dancing, playing, working, fighting and most importantly, laughing to their own unique tune.

We want to celebrate Miranda this Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the sanctuary of Kinston First Baptist Church. Immediately following the service, we ask that you join Miranda’s family in the fellowship hall for a Jubilee. A time to gather, remember and celebrate, not our loss, but her victory.

For 7 years, Miranda fought a battle with cancer. She did so with incredible grace, and a faith that inspired many. And so of her we get to hear: “Well done my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little. And so, I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Master.”

Miranda is preceded in death by her parents Dempsey Craig Hill and Shelba Grady Hill. She is survived by husband Kevin Carter Wiggins, daughters Carter Cleo (10) and Tempest Cade (8). Siblings: Megan Hill Saint-Amand (Steve), Matthew Hill. Nieces and Nephews: Madison Saint-Amand Davis (Brett), Malone Saint-Amand (Cooper Roddy), Sylas Rouse, Maddox Saint-Amand, Rowan Hill, Hillson Davis, Beckett Davis, Dylan Wiggins and Ava Wiggins.

The family is humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love shown to us.
