On May 6, 2026, Thomas Harold Hardison of Goldsboro passed peacefully at Brookdale Senior Living, fulfilling his greatest earthly desire to reunite with his beloved wife of 58 years, Carolyn. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home. A graveside service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Masonic Rites.
Lillian “Anne” Elmore Farmer, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, faithful friend, and devoted follower of Christ, went home to be with her Savior on May 6, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Ernestine Münzloher Sanford (Webb), age 88, passed away on April 30, 2026. A celebration of life will be held on May 9 at 1:00 pm at Ernestine’s home, followed by a short reception for family and friends. The family requests that you wear purple/lavender in memory of Ernestine.

Robert Lee “Bob” Cato, 82, passed away on April 22, 2026, at his home. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026, 2:00 PM, at Westminster United Methodist Church in Kinston, North Carolina. A visitation and reception will immediately follow in the fellowship hall.
Richard Glenn Penuel, 78, was welcomed into his Savior’s embrace on Monday, April 27, 2026. Glenn was born in Wayne County on October 20, 1947, to the late Edgar and Mildred Howell Penuel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his four siblings.
Julia Biggs, 91, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. A service of love and remembrance will be held by the graveside at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026 at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Gabe Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Dunn-Carolyn Aycock Sullivan, 92, victoriously entered into the Church Triumphant on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Jo Ann Abbott-Dail, 86, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2026, at Crystal Coast Hospice House. She was born on December 4, 1939.
Kenneth “Ken” Eugene Davis, 78, passed away peacefully at Kitty Askins Hospice Center on Thursday, April 16, 2026. A memorial service to honor Ken’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2026 at La Grange United Methodist Church with Rev. Linda Grider and Rev. Ken Helms officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Elijah Ray Heath, beloved son of Cannon Ray Heath and Meghan Quinn Elmore Heath, entered into the gracious love of his family on April 8, 2026. Though his love remains in their hearts, his presence departed all too quickly on April 14, 2026. The family will hold a private graveside service at Westview Cemetery.

A private internment will be held at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC on Friday, April 17, 2026 at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Barbara Mitchell Grady, age 83, of Kinston, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at UNC Health Lenoir. Visitation will be held from 11 am until 12 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Howard and Carter Funeral Home in Kinston. Funeral service will follow at 12 pm with Rev. Danny Barrow officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Kinston.

Myra Gail Lee Quinn, 66, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born in Lenoir County on November 30, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Robert David Lee and Elizabeth Smith Edmundson.
Margie Croom Coley, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 28, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina, after a long and fierce battle with cancer. Internment will take place at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston at 3:00. Pastor Greg Dickerson and Tim Nichols will preside.
