Linda Rouse Howard, 85, of Seven Springs passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 21, 2025. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with graveside service following at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Francis Earl Wood, 89, passed away peacefully early Friday morning at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home in La Grange. A service celebrating Earl’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service on Tuesday at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.

Walter Timothy "Tim" Shivar, 84, of Snow Hill, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025.

Surrounded by the love and presence of his family, Willie Dwight Gray, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. A service to celebrate Willie’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Rouse Funeral Home, with Pastor Aaron Bissette officiating. Deana Denise Daughety Layden, 57, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024. A service to honor and celebrate Deana’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Hull Road Original Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Percy Cunningham officiating.
