Obituary: Bobby Carroll Dail
La Grange- Bobby Carroll Dail, 74, passed away early Sunday morning, March 29, 2026. Bobby was born in Lenoir County to Grace Sparrow Dail and the late Roy Lee Dail Jr. on December 24, 1951. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 54 years, Yuvonne Ezzell Dail; their son, Robbie Earl Dail; and his in-laws, Leon Earl Ezzell Sr. and Betty Rogers Ezzell.
Outside of work, Bobby had one main focus, and that was spending time with Yuvonne. From their year-long courtship to their marriage lasting over five decades, the two found the most enjoyment together.
A skilled keyboard player, Bobby played in numerous bands throughout his lifetime, playing most recently with the band Reckless. He had an exceptional ear for music, and could turn around and play most anything he heard as soon as he heard it.
In earlier years, he spent much time enjoying racing with his brother, Douglas, and time on the water fishing was always a favorite pastime and great stress relief.
With a great love of cats and dogs, many found a wonderful and caring home with Bobby and Yuvonne through the years.
A service of love and remembrance will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2025 at Rouse Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Ward officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 noon. Committal will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
In addition to his mother, Bobby is survived by his brother, Douglas Dail; sister-in-law, Doris Eubanks and husband, Darrell; brothers-in-law, Leon Ezzell, Jr. and wife, Sherri, and Steven Ezzell and wife, Nelda; along with many loved nieces nephews, and cousins.
