Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Mary Cathedral, 1207 Columbia Street, Lafayette. Private interment will be at Tippecanoe Memorial Garden, West Lafayette, Indiana.

A faithful member of Faith Fellowship Church in Kinston, NC, Carolyn’s celebration of life will be held there on October 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with friends gathering afterward in the fellowship hall for a meal. Burial will be private.

Jeannie was born on January 30, 1941, in Anderson County, SC, to the late Arnold Evans and Gladys Evelyn Buchanan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Bannister, and her sister, Nadine Dorsey.
