Obituary: Deborah Jane Tutak
Deborah Jane Tutak (nee Tyler) was born in Lafayette, Indiana on May 21, 1953, to her loving parents, Horace S. Tyler and Polly Tyler (nee Ruth Pauline Parke). Debbie died on October 20,2025.
She lived a happy childhood growing up in rural West Lafayette, Indiana. On November 21, 1979, she and Leo E. Tutak were married in Kinston, North Carolina. Together they were blessed with a son, Christopher Neil Tutak.
Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Leo. She is survived by her son, Christopher, daughter-in-law, Heidi Marie and granddaughter Olive Jane Tutak, her mother Polly Tyler, two loving and caring brothers, Daniel Tyler (Geraldine) and Thomas Tyler (Kathryn), nephew Trent, nieces Jacqueline, Sarah, Laura, Stepson, Scott Tutak (Susan), step grandson, Jonathan, sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Redmon and Nancy Kucharski.
Debbie was grateful for the loving support from her dear friends Renee, Tricia, Jane and all her P.E.O sisters as well as numerous friends and relatives.
The family would like to express thanks to Kathy, with Elara Caring Hospice and to her numerous caretakers at University Place.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am on Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Mary Cathedral, 1207 Columbia Street, Lafayette. Private interment will be at Tippecanoe Memorial Garden, West Lafayette, Indiana.
