Her graveside service will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, North Carolina, on Tuesday, January 6, at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend, and a reception celebrating Mickey’s life will be held at the Kinston Country Club after.
La Grange- Raymond Thomas Pridgen, 86, passed away peacefully at his home late on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025. A service of love and remembrance will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., with Elders William Edwards and Ernest Duncan officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. A private committal will be held at Mewborn Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Lemuel Sutton Hardy, 73, completed his course of faith and entered into rest in the arms of his Savior early Christmas morning, December 25, 2025. A service of love and remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Wheat Swamp Christian Church, with Pastor Hank Jarman officiating. Committal will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston.
Selma Jones Carter, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Saturday, December 27, 2025 from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, La Grange.
Andrew Jackson “Andy” Harrison Jr., 55, passed away on December 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family while under the compassionate care of Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Andy was born in Lenoir County on December 20, 1969, to Jack and Myrtle Harrison.

Betsy Sutton Gray, 87, peacefully went home on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Born April 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Alton and Lorena Sutton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Christine Gray.
Kenneth “Kenny” Dunham passed away at the age of 68 on December 13, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. A celebration of life service will be held at 902 Church, 2009 Carey Road, Kinston, North Carolina, on Tuesday, December 16, at 6 p.m. Visitation will follow the service.
Stanley Turnage, 94, peacefully went home on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Goldsboro Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. A graveside service to honor Catherine will be held at Fairview Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Rollins officiating the service.
Jonas “J.N” Nathan Hill III, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and a recent bout with cancer. A viewing will be held at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the White Family Cemetery, 1451 Dover Ft. Barnwell Road, Dover, NC.

A service celebrating Jan’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary, with Pastor Chris Singleton officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery.
Jesse Ray Burkett Sr., 83, of 1373 Sumrell Road Kinston, NC 28501 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday December 7, 2025, at UNC Lenoir Hospital. He was born February 15, 1942, to the late William Bryant and Lady Dell Parrish Burkett in Jones County.
Gwendolyn Faye Curtis, 86, passed away on Wednesday 3, 2025. Graveside service will be held at Westview Cemetery in Kinston on December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Virgil Lee Eubanks, 84, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025. Born September 17, 1941, to the late Guy Thornton Eubanks and Mary Waters Eubanks, Virgil lived a life dedicated to family, entrepreneurship, and community service.
James (Jim) Edward Godfrey, 75, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Mrs. Brenda Sugg McKeel, age 83, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, November 28, 2025, surrounded by her family on the farm where she was born, raised, and lived throughout her life. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 1st, at the Chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service, with Pastors Hank Jarman and Allen Ham officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westview Cemetery in Kinston.
Ms. Janice Eason Sellers, age 87, passed away late Tuesday evening, November 25, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Funeral Services will be held privately by the graveside at the historic St. Barnabas Cemetery in Snow Hill where Janice will be laid to rest on the Eason Family lot.
