La Grange man charged in fatal hit and run on Paul’s Path Road

A La Grange man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in a ditch along Paul’s Path Road in Lenoir County on Saturday afternoon.

The City of Kinston has won a $90,000 judgment in its two-year legal battle with The Social Beverage Company, operator of Social House Vodka, after a Lenoir County jury found the company failed to meet its lease obligations on city-owned property.

According to the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, a deceased female has been discovered on Pauls Path near Falling Creek Road, located between Kinston and LaGrange. Deputies and detectives from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, along with members of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, are currently on the scene.

To the community, supporters, and advocates of animal welfare, especially at the LCSPCA and surrounding communities.

A debt that has weighed on Kinston, La Grange and 30 other eastern North Carolina communities for more than four decades has finally been retired.
