North Lenoir Sophomore Lexy Rouse wins Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant
The Miss Neuse Scholarship Pageant is an esteemed annual event in Kinston, North Carolina, celebrating the talent, poise, and community involvement of young women in the area. The upcoming pageant is scheduled for February 22, 2025, at 7 PM, at the Kinston/Lenoir County Performing Arts Center.
Just after 9:30 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, the La Grange Fire Department, with the assistance of the North Lenoir Volunteer Fire Department and the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office, responded to fire alarms sounding at E.B. Frink Middle School.
Lenoir County Public Schools adjusts calendar to make up for winter weather
The Lenoir County Board of Education has approved a plan to adjust the school calendar in order to make up for instructional time lost due to recent winter weather. The decision was made at the board's regular meeting on February 3, 2025.
