Letter to the editor: Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers responds to previous letter to the editor
I’d like to take this opportunity to respond to a letter to the editor of Neuse News that was written by Jennifer Shrader and published Tuesday.
The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office has, according to its own reports in the last week, arrested two people and put them in jail here just as soon as they were released from their prison sentences elsewhere in the state. Both have drug charges.
Lenoir County Public Schools is proud to recognize students who made their schools’ Principal’s List and Honor Roll in the third nine weeks of instruction this school year. Congratulations to everyone who has been named!
After a period of uncertainty and closure, Big Lots is officially reopening its Kinston location at 2407 N. Herritage St., according to store manager Leo Lockhart. The discount retailer, which closed temporarily amid the company’s financial challenges, is back in business and actively hiring.
A suicidal man who barricaded himself in a house for several hours was successfully removed from the house by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office officials Thursday night.
