I have never been the biggest fan of turnips, but I have discovered over the past few years that if prepared in the right way, they will take on a variety of unique flavors depending on your recipe. Cynthia K. “Cindy” Whitney, 66, of Dover, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
A memorial service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Dover Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior, at 10:00 a.m., in the church fellowship hall.
Lucille Greene Eubanks, 82, of Kinston, North Carolina, passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2025. Visitation begins at 1:00 pm on November 5, 2025 at Gordon Street Christian Church, Kinston, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 pm officiated by Reverend Dr. Laura Wood. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the church.
