Ginger J. Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, nurse, and woman of steadfast faith, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC, after a courageous eight-year battle with cancer. She was 77. A Celebration of Life will be held at Faith Fellowship in Kinston, North Carolina, on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Visitation with the family begins at 1:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.

I have written before about not having the opportunity to meet Sandra’s father – Floyd Dawson. The closest I have come is through several photos of him – one that stands constant guard in our living room.
