Lenoir County Deputies assist NCSHP in Hit-and-Run Investigation involving pedestrian
On the evening of September 22, 2025, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 3100 block of Hugh E. Hardy Road in LaGrange to assist the North Carolina State Highway Patrol (NCSHP) with a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
The incident occurred when the suspect struck a pedestrian and then fled the scene. Witnesses reported the suspect was driving an older model white Ford Explorer, last seen traveling east on Bryan Hardy Road.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, NCSHP, North Lenoir Fire & Rescue, and Lenoir County EMS.
The NCSHP is actively investigating the incident and is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the driver involved.
