Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Domestic Violence Incident; Stolen Firearm Recovered
On August 22, 2026, Deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in Pink Hill regarding a reported domestic assault. The original caller advised Communications that a firearm may be inside the residence.
When Deputies arrived on scene, they determined that the suspect had fled the area prior to their arrival.
Several hours later, a citizen near the incident location contacted the Sheriff’s Office after locating a firearm on their property. Deputies determined that the firearm had been reported stolen out of Carteret County and was the same firearm referenced during the original investigation.
Following the investigation, Deputies obtained warrants for Samuel Guzman for the following charges:
Felony Possession of a Stolen Firearm
Misdemeanor Crime of Domestic Violence
Assault on a Female
Possession/Manufacture of a Fraudulent Identification
