North Carolina has a continuing CHILD FIND procedure in place to locate all children with disabilities residing in the State, including children with disabilities attending private schools, regardless of the severity of their disability, and who are in need of special education and related services.

Obituary - Diane Rosso Whitehurst

It is with heartfelt remembrance that we share the passing of Diane Rosso Whitehurst, 77, of Raleigh, NC, who left this world on April 22, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with dementia. A funeral Mass celebrating Diane’s life will be held at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church on Thursday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Father Tom Elitz, SJ. A visitation will be held after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Diane’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Obituary - Arey Wilson Grady Jr.

Arey Wilson Grady Jr. was born on October 9, 1949, in Goldsboro North Carolina to Arey Wilson Grady Sr. and Martha Ernestein Grady. He is now reunited with them in Heaven as with his sister Sue Mungo. He is survived by his loving (and patient) wife of 54 years, Mary Ann Grady, and his sons Arey Wilson Grady III and James “Punk” Grady and his wife Whitney Grady. Arey was a proud grandfather and was lovingly known to his five grandchildren, Sam, Ben, Thomas, Caroline, and Eliza as “Bud”. He is also survived by his sister Laura Cutherbertson and nephew Lee Percise and wife Megan Percise. A service celebrating the life of Arey Grady will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Kinston at 3 PM Sunday, May 4th.

Obituary: Edna Earl Daughety King

Edna Earl Daughety King, born on December 25, 1931, passed away on May 1, at her home. She was surrounded by her children and family. A lifelong member of Armenia Christian Church, she loved her church family dearly. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made payable to Armenia Christian Church.
