The victim reported that their vehicle had been struck by another vehicle, which then fled the scene. The victim was able to provide officers with a description of the suspect vehicle.

A tragic hit-and-run at Kinston's Carver Courts Apartment Complex on Friday evening left a two-year-old girl dead and a 35-year-old man seriously injured. Kinston Police quickly identified and apprehended the suspect, Rashaun Wade, 22, the childโs father, who now faces charges of second-degree murder, felony hit-and-run, and DWI.

Officers made contact with the victims, and through further investigation with witnesses in the area, it was determined that there was a large fight in the area involving both males and females.
