Vehicle Crash Leads to DWI Arrest

While conducting proactive patrols, officers with KPD's A-Squad located a vehicle that had collided with a light pole at Greenbriar Road and W Vernon Avenue. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as 41-year-old Martha Guardiola, and initiated an investigation into the incident.

During the investigation, officers developed probable cause to believe Guardiola was impaired and conducted a Driving While Impaired (DWI) investigation.

As a result, Guardiola was arrested and charged with:

Driving While Impaired
Driving While License Revoked
Failure to Maintain Lane Control

Guardiola was released from custody prior to a booking photo being taken
