Severe Storms Possible This Afternoon with Damaging Winds, Flooding and Isolated Tornado Risk

Ongoing thunderstorms this morning should mainly remain sub severe, though as we head into the afternoon hours, increasing instability will lead to a risk of severe thunderstorms. If lingering clouds from morning showers and storms hang on into the afternoon, the severe risk would be tampered some.

The timing for potential severe thunderstorms are from 1-3pm this afternoon to about 6-8pm this evening, with the main threat being damaging wind gusts to 60 mph, small (dime) sized hail, torrential downpours and localized flooding, and an isolated tornado.
