Jean Chapman-Hill: A Tribute To Mothers in Heaven and Earth

As Mother's Day approaches, we're reminded of the profound impact mothers have on our lives. On a cold winter day in January with snow lingering on the ground, God dispatched angels  from Heaven to escorted Verna Mae Tillman Chapman to eternal glory, leaving behind a legacy of love, warmth, and cherished memories. Though her departure broke hearts, her virtuous spirit, eloquently described in Proverbs 31, continues to inspire.

Snow Hill Primary Terrific Kid Awards

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards.  Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal.  On Fridays, these students are presented with an award and are congratulated for their hard work.  Below are Snow Hill Primary's Terrific Kid Awards!

 The Automotive Systems Technology Instructor is responsible for providing quality instruction to program students using seated, online, hybrid, and lab courses. Obituary: William Reed Lovick

Born on January 24, 1956, "Reed" was the son of the late Milton "Mac" and Marjorie Conway Lovick. A man of many talents, he spent his life building and creating. In the 1980s, he proudly carried on the family legacy by working at Lovick’s Café. He later served as a local handyman before concluding his career as the Director of Facilities at Lenoir Community College.

Lenoir Community College celebrated its 64th Annual Commencement Ceremony on May 7, recognizing the achievements of more than 400 graduates whose educational journeys reflect determination, perseverance, and personal growth. Family members, faculty, staff, and community supporters gathered at the LCC Gymnasium to honor the Class of 2026 and celebrate this important milestone.
