Two men charged with killing Jeffrey Hill in a downtown Kinston parking lot nearly three years ago have received a plea deal. Clinton Christmas and Joseph Hughes plead guilty to lesser charges, were credited with time served, and released.

NEW YORK — AfroPoP: The Ultimate Cultural Exchange, the acclaimed series from Black Public Media (BPM) and WORLD, closes out its 16th season on April 22 — Earth Day — with a documentary film exploring the urgent effects of climate change on one North Carolina community. Juveniles lead officers on a chase after breaking and entering
KPD Officers on D-Squad responded to an alarm at 225 E New Bern Road (Neuse Sport Shop). Officers arrived on scene and located a broken window. As additional officers were responding to the business, they passed a vehicle traveling away from scene without any lighting. Officers attempted to to stop the vehicle and the vehicle began to flee.
