Lenoir County men arrested after closet hideout unveiled

Two Lenoir County men were arrested — including one hiding in a closet — by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office detectives on Friday.

LCSO detectives received information Friday on the location of a probation absconder in the Pink Hill area. LCSO deputies, along with assistance from the Pink Hill Police Department and the N.C. State Highway Patrol, responded to the residence on Pittman Lane.

Deputies located Logan Ray Potter, 29, of La Grange, at the residence. Potter had an order for arrest for felony probation violation and was listed as a probation absconder. He was issued no bond and placed into the Lenoir County Jail.

While at the Pittman Lane residence, deputies and officers located a second wanted subject. Gregory Tyler Phillips, 28, of Deep Run, had two orders for arrest for misdemeanor probation violations. He was found hiding in a closet in the residence after officers were given consent to search. Phillips was issued a secured bond and also placed into the Lenoir County Jail.
