Lenoir Community College students will soon have access to one of North Carolina's pioneering artificial intelligence degree programs through a new partnership with Wayne Community College.
Elder Abuse Awareness Walk set for June 15 in Kinston
The Lenoir County Council on Aging will host an Elder Abuse Awareness Walk at 9 a.m. June 15, beginning at its office at 112 E. Blount St. in Kinston.

North Carolina's April County and Area Employment Figures Released
Unemployment rates (not seasonally adjusted) decreased in 57 counties, increased in eight, and remained unchanged in 35 in April 2026. Hyde County had the highest unemployment rate at 5.7 percent while Currituck County had the lowest at 2.7 percent.
