Seven Springs mobile home catches fire, no injuries reported
SEVEN SPRINGS - Shortly after 3 p.m., today, Lenoir County 911 received a call reporting a home on fire on Tony’s Lane in Seven Springs. Firefighters from Deep Run, Sandy Bottom and Albertson fire departments responded and found heavy smoke and flames visible from a double-wide mobile home.

Kinston Department of Fire and Rescue Responds to a structure fire
On Sunday March 17 2024 at approximately 12:22pm City of Kinston Department of Fire & Rescue was dispatched to a structure fire at 2307 Carey Road. All companies responded to above address. Battalion 1 arrived on scene to a working fire from single story wood frame residential home with 50% involvement and established command .

Second raid in a year: cocaine, guns seized by KPD
KPD"s Violent Crime Action Team and KPD's SWAT Team served a narcotics search warrant for a residence on Dr. MLK JR Blvd. The search warrant concluded a seven month investigation into the distribution of crack cocaine by Rodney Meadows.
