The Lenoir County Historical Association (LCHA) successfully hosted a Naturalization Ceremony on the Fourth of July at the historic Harmony Hall. The event, which began at 10 am, commemorated the induction of new citizens into the United States of America.
For the upcoming 2023 Municipal Election in Greene County and Lenoir County, filing opens on Friday, July 7, 2023, and ends at noon Friday, July 21, 2023, Election Day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 7, 2023. Just before 7 a.m. on July 3rd, Lenoir County EMS personnel were dispatched to a medical call at a residence on the 700 block of Garland Avenue in Kinston. Sandy Bottom Volunteer Fire Department and Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office officials also responded to the call.
