A Thursday afternoon shooting in Kinston left one man dead and another injured.
UPDATED at 7:05 a.m. According to the Kinston Police Department, Dantravelle Shackleford has been arrested by officers of the Kinston Police Department. Shackleford will be placed in the Lenoir County Jail without bond.
Lynn Harris, Jr. was on the run and facing attempted murder charges after a confrontation with another man Thursday in Kinston. On Friday, February 22, 2019, Lynn Edward Harris Jr. turned himself in at the Lenoir County Magistrates' office. Harris was placed in the Lenoir County Jail without bail pending a first appearance in Lenoir County District Court on Monday, February 25, 2019.
A man charged in a homicide committed Monday in Kinston was arrested in Philadelphia today.
