LCSO seeking suspect in North Lenoir bomb scare

LA GRANGE — The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s assistance in finding a suspect in last weekend’s suspected explosive device that was found near North Lenoir High School.

The investigation began Saturday after deputies responded to a larceny of an ATV from North Lenoir. That investigation led to deputies locating a suspected bomb in a vehicle, SBI bomb squad response and the lockdown of North Lenoir to allow law enforcement to conduct an intensive search of the campus for other explosive devices.

The suspect is Joshua Lynn Morris of Greene County. Morris is suspected of committing the crimes that caused the investigation and incident at North Lenoir. Detectives have obtained warrants against Morris for the following charges:
• Felony larceny after breaking/entering
• Felony possession stolen goods/property
• Felony attempted breaking or enter building
• Felony larceny
• Felony Possession of stolen property
• Felony break or enter a motor vehicle
• Misdemeanor larceny
• Misdemeanor possession of stolen goods
