The Kinston Police Department’s (KPD) Investigations Division has obtained warrants for Jamarion Tylee Gray (21, of Kinston) in connection with a shooting that occurred on March 3, 2025, on the 300 block of Airport Road.

On March 3, 2025, KPD’s D-Squad responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 300 block of Airport Road. Officers arrived on the scene and located a 23-year-old victim suffering from a single gunshot wound to the leg.
Nurses Lane is recommended name for new road
The Kinston City Council passed a unanimous motion to recommend Nurses Lane as the name of the new road near Airport Road, where the Doctor’s Drive extension takes a right turn.
