Airport Road to reopen on Friday

The long-term road closure on SR-1578 (Airport Road) near Herritage Street in Kinston is set to end on October 17 at 5:00 PM.

This closure, which began June 9 for bridge construction, has remained in place continuously throughout the project. Once reopened, traffic in both directions will resume normal flow.

Motorists are encouraged to continue following posted detour routes until the project’s completion date. Thank you for your patience as this important infrastructure improvement nears its finish.
