Bringing the heart of The Sound of Music to life are four talented actors whose passion and artistry promise to make this production unforgettable.
Anna Hull takes on the role of Maria Rainer, a young woman whose boundless optimism and love of music inspire joy and connection in everyone she meets. Hull is thrilled to appear in her third LCC production after Anastasia and School of Rock. She also delighted audiences as Sandy in NBCT’s Grease.
Art Rimbert portrays Captain Georg von Trapp, a disciplined and principled patriarch who is learning to open his heart again. He last appeared at LCC as Bob Wallace in White Christmas and recently performed as Dr. Douglas in NC A&T University’s Miss Evers’ Boys.
Bringing elegance and insight to Baroness Elsa Schraeder, a poised and worldly socialite, is Rebecca McGann. This marks her fourth production since moving to eastern North Carolina, but her first time on Turner Stage. She was most recently seen as Alice Russell in NBCT’s Lizzie.
Sean Jeffries brings humor and heart to Max Detweiler, the quick-witted impresario whose love of the arts—and of the von Trapp family—shines through. Jeffries serves as the Theatre Arts Teacher at Jones Senior High School and has appeared in numerous area productions, including this summer’s Anastasia.
Gather your friends and family for a night filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable music as The Sound of Music fills the Turner Stage with joy this November.
