This production is part of the LCC Foundation Performing Arts Series. Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/lccfpa. Ticket prices: accessible seating $15.00, orchestra seating $20.00, standard seating $15.00, and student standard seating (ages 4–17; 18+ student ID required) $10.00.
The heart of The Sound of Music lies with the von Trapp family, whose story of love and resilience shines through song. Meet the young performers bringing the von Trapp children to life on the Turner Stage:
Abigail Hull takes on the role of Liesl von Trapp, balancing big-sister warmth with the thrill of first love. Hull appears in her third LCCFPA production after Anastasia (2025) and School of Rock (2024), and previously stepped out as Peggy Sawyer in NLHS Drama’s 42nd Street.
Alexander Suggs portrays Friedrich von Trapp with steady-hearted sincerity and an emerging sense of responsibility. A theatre devotee with a powerhouse voice, Suggs brought audiences to their feet during Broadway Unleashed and has also appeared in LCCFPA’s Hello, Dolly! and Anastasia.
Kayla Britt brings quick wit and playful spirit to the role of Louisa von Trapp. Britt was most recently seen as Marian Paroo in North Lenoir’s The Music Man and as Jovie in Elf The Musical.
Joseph Tilghman steps into the role of Kurt von Trapp, mixing mischievous charm with a bright, agile voice. Tilghman is a 5th grader at Hope Prep who played Lawrence in LCCFPA’s School of Rock. He plays piano and guitar and serves as goalie for the COBRAS soccer team.
Lily Hill appears as Brigitta von Trapp, pairing keen observation with an open heart. Hill makes her first stage appearance while celebrating a decade of dance at Kinston Dance Academy and studying in 6th grade at Bethel Christian Academy.
Nora Standen embodies Marta von Trapp with a gentle, eager presence that blossoms in song. Standen made her stage debut in Anastasia this summer. She loves gymnastics, singing, piano, and time with her two dogs and six cats.
Making her Turner Stage debut, Lela Wade portrays the youngest von Trapp, Gretl, who radiates sunny sweetness that lights every scene. Wade is a 2nd grader at La Grange Elementary and is in her fourth year of dance at Mooves Dance Studio.
Gather your friends and family for a night filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable music as The Sound of Music fills the Turner Stage with joy this November.
