Get to Know the Talented Cast of LCCFPA’s The Sound of Music

This November, The Sound of Music takes the Turner Stage at Lenoir Community College with a cast whose talent, humor, and heart capture the timeless spirit of this beloved musical. Their performances promise laughter, emotion, and a joyful celebration of community and connection.

The show, directed by LCC’s Jessica Cruz, will take place November 14-16 and November 21-23, 2025, in the Briley Auditorium on the Turner Stage. This production is part of the LCC Foundation Performing Arts Series. Tickets are available now at www.lenoircc.edu/lccfpa. Ticket prices: accessible seating $15.00, orchestra seating $20.00, standard seating $15.00, and student standard seating (ages 4–17; 18+ student ID required) $10.00.

Meet a few of the outstanding actors who will be lighting up the stage with their performances.

Aaron Williams brings polished charm and waltz-ready wit to the role of Baron Elberfeld in his fifth appearance on the Turner Stage. Audiences may remember him as Count Ipolitov/Count Leopold in Anastasia (2025), Rudolph Reisenweber in Hello, Dolly! (2024), or as part of RiverTowne Players’ Memphis (2025).

Adrian Jones brings an energetic mix of youthful confidence and vulnerability to Rolf in his second LCCFPA production. An ECU ’25 BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, his favorite credits include Busch Gardens Williamsburg, White Christmas (LCCFPA), The Producers, Newsies (OHTC), and ECU/Loessin Playhouse.

Allison Manning appears as Baroness Elberfeld and a nun, balancing poise with playful presence. A student at East Carolina University, this is her seventh production and second with LCCFPA, following Matilda (2023). She has also performed with NLHS Drama and is grateful for every chance to be on stage.

Bob Wagner plays Franz with dry humor and precise timing. Director of the North Carolina Motorcycle Safety Education Program, he loves theatre, travel, motorcycles, and old cars. Wagner is a proud husband, father, and grandfather to fifteen, as well as one angel.

Jack Rooney takes on Herr Zeller with steely composure and sharp authority. A Kinston resident and longtime LCCFPA performer, he most recently appeared as Tsar Nicholas in Anastasia (2025) and remains grateful for the people who champion his love for music and theatre.

Madison Dunford makes her musical debut as Frau Zeller and in the female ensemble, bringing bright commitment and an openhearted spirit. A nursing student, she is passionate about caring for others and sharing joy with her community.

Paul Sugg joins LCCFPA for the first time as Admiral von Schreiber, offering crisp intensity and commanding focus. A longtime theatre lover, he performed in high school and now balances his arts passion with work in prosthetics and 3D printing. He is dedicated to medical missions and loves his wife, Emily, his son, Tyler, and his three cats.

Sayla Brock makes her Sound of Music debut as a dancer in the ensemble and as a marionette doll. After watching her sister perform in Anastasia, Sayla couldn’t wait to join the fun. A competitive gymnast who loves to perform, she has thoroughly enjoyed bringing her energy and creativity to the stage.
