Investigation into reported sexual assault ends with false report charges, KPD says
On July 28, 2026, at approximately 7:27 p.m., KPD's C-Squad officers responded to the area of Pearson Park and Tiffany Park following a report of a sexual assault.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with 61-year-old Vanessa Livingston and 26-year-old Alejandro Infante. Both alleged that an unidentified male had groped Livingston.
Officers also interviewed the accused individual, who stated that Livingston had aggressively approached him and that he raised his hands to keep her from coming closer.
As part of the investigation, officers reviewed available video footage. The video did not support the allegations made by Livingston or Infante. Instead, it showed Livingston assault the male subject.
Based on the investigation, Livingston was arrested and charged with Felony Obstruction of Justice, Making a False Report to Law Enforcement, Resisting, Delaying, or Obstructing a Public Officer, and Simple Affray.
Infante was also arrested and charged with Misdemeanor Obstruction of Justice and Resisting a Public Officer.
Both Livingston and Infante were released after each received an unsecured bond.
