LCSO: Arrest Made Following Intentional Vehicle Assault

On June 5, 2026, deputies with the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office A Shift responded to the area of Shep Road in reference to an active disturbance.

Upon arrival, deputies conducted an investigation and determined that a vehicle crash was an intentional act of violence. Investigators learned that a female suspect intentionally drove her vehicle toward two male victims, striking them before crashing into a vehicle belonging to the victims that was parked in the yard.

Both victims sustained injuries and were transported to UNC Health Lenoir for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, Shaniya Davis, 25, of Lenoir County, was arrested and transported to the Lenoir County Detention Center, where she was held without bond.

Davis was charged with:

  • Two Counts of Attempted First-Degree Murder

  • One Count of Injury to Personal Property
