Arrest Made Following Intentional Vehicle Assault
On March 29, 2026, deputies with LCSO A Shift and D Shift responded to a vehicle crash in the area of Highway 70 and King Street.
Upon arrival, deputies determined the crash was an intentional act of violence. The suspect, the father of one of the children involved, was driving alongside his girlfriend, who had three small children in the vehicle. During the incident, the suspect rammed the victim’s vehicle, forcing it off the roadway before fleeing the scene.
EMS responded and evaluated all four occupants of the vehicle. No serious injuries were reported.
Deputies later located the suspect, Roberto Rosado Davila, 48 y/o from Lenoir County, NC at his residence and took him into custody without incident. He was charged with the following
Assault with a Deadly Weapon (4 Counts)
Injury to Personal Property
No Operator’s License
Fictitious Registration Plate
No Liability Insurance.
He was placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a no bond Domestic Hold.
