Mayor Hardy announces $6M plan for Herritage Street improvements

Mayor Don Hardy posted the following on his Facebook Page:

I want to provide an update regarding the planned improvements for Herritage Street. Before any resurfacing work can begin, it is necessary to complete the critical utility work located beneath the roadway. This phase of the project represents a significant investment of more than $3.2 million.

Once this vital underground work has been completed, we will move forward with a phased resurfacing project for Herritage Street, which is estimated to cost more than $3 million. This approach ensures that the infrastructure supporting the roadway is secure and sustainable, laying the foundation for long-term improvements that will benefit both residents and businesses.

Our administration remains committed to seeing this project through in a way that prioritizes safety, efficiency, and the future growth of our city.

— Mayor Don D. Hardy
