Amvets Women’s Auxiliary awards $1,000 scholarship to nursing student
Amvets Women's Auxiliary member Catharine Kosinski was recently awarded a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 by Linda Bonin who is also a Amvets member and member of the Sackettes a organization developed to encourage fun and honor among Women's auxiliary members.
They have chosen Catharine because she is currently in the nursing program at Lenoir Community College, and this money is designed to help support Catharine in achieving her goal of achieving her RN degree. Amvets Women's Auxiliary is an organization of dedicated people who focus on supporting individuals who have honorably served in our countries military. The Chapter works closely with the Amvets chapter To support their work on behalf of Veterans in the community.
Catharine's scholarship application has now been sent to the National Amvets office to be considered for additional scholarships.
