Lenoir County woman charged after stabbing incident

A Lenoir County woman was arrested early this morning by the Lenoir County Sheriff's Office after she allegedly assaulted a female with a knife.

Desilen Devona Rochelle Dail, 25, of Lenoir County, was arrested without incident this morning and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. The charge came after a report of a stabbing in the 500 block of South Croom Bland Road.

The victim was transported to a local medical facility for treatment. Following an investigation, it was determined the incident occurred at an address on Addie Lane and Dail was identified as a suspect in the crime.

Dail was transported to the Lenoir County Magistrate’s Office where she initially received no bond due to being out on pretrial release. A $10,000 secured bond was later set by a district court judge.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
