The Coastal Coalition consisting of Carteret, Craven, Pamlico, Jones, and Lenoir County Public Schools School Nutrition Departments are now accepting formal bids for the 2025-2026 Year with the option of rolling over for four additional years on the following products: Milk and juice products through a milk vendor following the North Carolina Procurement Alliance (NCPA) process.

Help Wanted: EMS Captain

As a member of Emergency Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Emergency Medical Services Division is seeking candidates for an EMS Captain. Candidates are responsible for providing patient care at the Paramedic level on a quick response vehicle and/or ambulance and directs the activities of emergency medical services responders on an assigned shift.

Neuse Regional Library Receives Statewide Recognition at NCPLDA Conference

Neuse Regional Libraries are excited to announce that they were recently recognized with two 2024 North Carolina Public Library Directors Association (NCPLDA) Awards. At the April 3 ceremony, Director Melanie Morgan and Neuse Regional Libraries staff were recognized for a Literacy Award for digital literacy outreach at the Friends of the Homeless Shelter and  Facility Recognition for the Kinston-Lenoir County Public Library’s new Multi-Sensory Environment.

Local businessman Rick Bostic acquires Kinston Enterprise Center

A cornerstone of downtown Kinston’s small business community has entered a new chapter. Rick Bostic, owner of Bostic Construction and Demolition, Inc., has purchased the Kinston Enterprise Center with plans to not only move his company’s headquarters into the building, but also maintain its availability to local startups and small businesses looking for affordable office space.
