Final judgment ordered in Lenoir County nuisance case

Lenoir County Superior Court Judge Imelda J. Pate signed a consent judgment resulting from a Chapter 19 Nuisance Abatement action regarding the property at 445 and 453 Pear Street in Kinston, in the Jackson Heights community. The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, working with the property owners and the community, have reached a successful resolution to ensure actions at these properties do not negatively impact the community.

Magic Mile Media announces Social Media Summit 2025 in Kinston

Magic Mile Media has announced the Social Media Summit 2025 (SMS2025), scheduled for January 31, 2025, in Kinston. The one-day event, sponsored in part by Visit Kinston and Lenoir Community College’s Small Business Center, will focus on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in social media marketing, under the theme "AI + Social: Innovate | Automate | Dominate."

Chophouse 222 pre-opening reservations available

Chophouse 222, located at 222 N. Herritage Street in downtown Kinston, North Carolina, is announcing limited pre-opening reservations for holiday gatherings. Although the restaurant has not officially opened, prospective patrons can book reservations for Christmas and New Year’s events between December 13, 2024, and January 6, 2025.
