LCSO: Traffic stop ends in drug arrest

A traffic stop Tuesday led to a Kinston man being arrested on drug charges.

Adrian Dudley, 33, was stopped by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes and Rapid Response (SCARR) team members for an equipment violation. During the stop, probable cause was established and a search was conducted of the vehicle. Marijuana and fentanyl were discovered during the search.

Dudley was arrested and charged with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Lenoir County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
