Victor Clinton Cauley of Kinston, NC, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024, at the North Carolina State Veterans Home. A graveside celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, April 6, at 10:30am at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, April 5, from 5-7pm at Edwards Funeral Home.

Bonnie Holloman Boone, 98, of Lugoff, South Carolina, formerly of Kinston, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2pm at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30pm at Edwards Funeral Home.
On March 4, 2024, at approximately 3:00 pm, members of the Kinston Police Department responded to a report of a shooting that had taken place near the 900 block of E. King St. Kinston, N.C. Officers made contact with seven young adults and juveniles, who advised that they were walking in the area, and they were approached by a group of males that initiated an altercation.

Loretta Loftus Morgan, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. A celebration of Loretta’s life will take place on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life. The family will receive friends following the service.
