Two Lenoir Community College graphic students, Gregory Cox and Jonah Daniels, were recently awarded scholarships from the Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA). PICA is an industry association dedicated to protecting and promoting the common interest of the printing industry, and helping their members prosper, both individually and collectively, through fellowship, education, and cooperative action.

On Tuesday morning, Feb. 21, I was blessed to be able to attend the Pastors Appreciation Breakfast sponsored by the Kinston Camp of Gideons International. The breakfast allows the Gideons to express appreciation for the support of local churches and to update those attending on the work of the Gideons both here at home and around the world.

Janet Johnson, 75, of Kinston, NC, passed away on Thursday, February 23rd, 2023, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro. Graveside services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 28th, 2023, at 11am at Pinelawn Memorial Park, with Pastor Merritt Watson and Dr. David Griffin officiating.
