Lenoir Community College will hold three Career & College Promise Information Sessions for families and students from Lenoir, Greene and Jones Counties that would like to know more about the dual enrollment opportunities available for high school and rising high school students through LCC.
The Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) announced today it has awarded $29.9 million to expand broadband in Lenoir County, North Carolina. The award will be used to fund Lenoir County’s Fiber to the Home Expansion project, which will deploy last-mile broadband to Lenoir County. This project will serve 15,256 households across the county.

An eyewitness on the bank of the Neuse River behind the Family Dollar, 400 E. New Bern Road, Kinston, told officials he saw a woman along the bank of the river reach into the water to grab a bag. After watching her do that, he didn’t see her re-emerge from the river and, after going into the store, called officials to report what he’d seen.

On February 22, 2022, at approximately 08:48 pm, Officers with the Kinston Police Department responded to a robbery at the Dollar General. The suspect passed a note to the cashier and displayed a weapon. The suspect left on foot in an unknown direction of travel.
