Linda McConnell joins LCC Casino Night as a celebrity dealer

The Lenoir Community College Foundation is happy to welcome Linda McConnell, as a Casino Night Celebrity Dealer this year. The event will be held on February 25 from 6:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Shriners Building. Tables open at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. Proceeds from the event benefit the LCC scholarship program.

McConnell is the owner of The Bentley Bed & Breakfast. She and her late husband, Ward, purchased the property 30 years ago this April.  The Bentley is a beautiful southern inn full of charm and winsomeness. The Inn was closed due to Covid but in May of 2021, McConnell reopened the bed and breakfast.  She enjoys having people from all over the world come and stay at the Bentley.

McConnell is currently renovating several properties that she owns in Kinston.  She also enjoys painting furniture, playing cards with her friends, and visiting with her grandchildren.

She said she has visited Las Vegas many times and even got married there. She enjoys playing blackjack, but her favorite activity is slot machines.  She said you can lose a lot of money on those penny slots, but she loves the rush of seeing if the three cherries were going to come up.

Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available and may be purchased online at www.lenoircc.edu/casino or by contacting Katherine Pearson, Development Coordinator, in the LCC Foundation office at 252-233-6843.
