Billy Ray Brown, 80, of Deep Run, entered the arms of Jesus and his wife Pat, on Saturday, May 6th, 2023 at his home. Visitation will be from 11:00-12:00 on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at Tanglewood Church of God in Kinston, followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 1200. Graveside service will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will also receive visitors at the home of Mr. Brown on Wednesday, May 10th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
Robert Glenn Hardee, 84, of Kinston, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Friends and family are invited to attend a celebratory service on Wednesday, May 10 at 7:00 pm with family visitation at 6:00 pm at Kinston First PH Church, 711 Phillips Road, Kinston. A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 11am in the mausoleum at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Lelia “Lela” Rouse, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Health Care. The funeral service will be conducted Monday, May 8, 2023, at 11am at Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Wiley Rouse Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Peggy Braxton Casey, 84, of Summerville, SC formerly of Kinston, NC passed away on April 25, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. Celebration of life service was held on April 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Summerville Baptist Church Downtown in Summerville, SC. Visitation was at 10:00 a.m. prior to church service. Graveside service was held April 29, 2023 at the Grifton Cemetery in Grifton, NC.
Davis Speight Webb, 85, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at UNC Lenoir Health Care. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2023, at First Baptist Church, 2600 Rouse Road, Kinston, NC. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jon Hoover and Pastor Don Causey officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Pinelawn Memorial Park, 4488 West Vernon Avenue, Kinston, NC.

The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.
Mary Jane Jones Tilghman “Cookie”, 76, finished her course and was received into the presence of her Lord on Friday, April 14, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. A service of love and remembrance will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange with Pastor Chris Truett officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation following the service. A private committal will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery, La Grange.
