Arendall Blake Bryan

Seven Springs- Arendall Blake “Ren” Bryan, 82, passed away on April 23, 2023 at the North Carolina Veterans Home in Kinston, North Carolina. He was born on January 7, 1941 in Sandy Bottom, the son of Preston Blake and Verda Mae (Wade) Bryan.

Ren graduated from Moss Hill School, where he also met the love of his life, Mable “Sis” Cauley Jones and they were married on December 22, 1961. Ren proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, followed by several years driving for Tidewater Transit. He was a proud farmer in the Moss Hill community for over thirty years.

Ren and Sis were devoted members of Webb Chapel United Methodist Church. He also enjoyed spending weekends at their river house in Pamlico, fishing with grandchildren, and playing with his beloved dog, Shorty.

A service of love and remembrance will be held by the graveside on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Pinelawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends after the service.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, “Sis” Bryan. Surviving members of his family include his daughter, Debra Parrish, her husband, Darrell; son, James “Jay” Bryan, his wife Jessica; and daughter Danielle “Danni” Bryan-Khalas, and her husband Dhruv. He was immensely proud of his grandchildren, Kelsey Novicki, Cameron Parrish, Taylor Sholar, Avery Bryan, Jackson Parrish, Maegan Parrish, Travis Bryan, and Payton Bryan, as well as great-grandchildren, Penelope “Nellie” Novicki, Reed Sholar, Dawson Sholar, and Eli Novicki.
