flyExclusive partners with AeroAngel bringing sick child to life saving treatment

Local business flyExclusive has partnered with AeroAngel.org to help bring a little boy named Leonidas (Leo) Gonzalez, the life saving treatments he needed. Leo can’t fly commercial because of immunity concerns and will travel to Duke on a luxurious jet through flyExclusive. “AeroAngel is grateful for the combined efforts of all those at flyExclusive who have contributed toward making private flights like Leo’s possible,” said Brit Baillargeon, Director of Special Projects with AeroAngel. “Our partnership with AeroAngel has been such a fulfilling opportunity for the entire flyExclusive family,” said Roddie Hoyle, Director of Sales at flyExclusive.

Former Kinston Mayor Johnnie Moseley passed away over the weekend

On May 14, 2022, former Kinston Mayor Johnnie Moseley passed away at the age of 79. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time according to Mills Funeral Home.

Moseley served two terms as Mayor from 1997 to 2005 and was the first African American in that role. He served as mayor during the devastating effects of Hurricane Floyd and during the West Pharmaceutical explosion. He also was on Kinston City Council from 1985 to 1997 before becoming mayor.

The city’s water reclamation facility is named the Johnnie Moseley Regional Water Reclamation Facility because of his work post-Hurricane Floyd to build a facility out of the flood zone.

Snow Hill Primary announces Terrific Kids

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards. Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal. Celebrating National Drug Court Month

A courtroom is not a place where you expect to find scenes of celebration and tears of joy. Unless, of course, it’s drug court. This May, drug courts throughout North Carolina will join more than 4,000 such programs nationwide in celebrating National Drug Court Month.
