Lenoir/Greene United Way invites interested nonprofit organizations to submit a letter of intent to request funding for the 2024 application cycle. Applicants must meet the following guidelines to pursue funding: 501c3 nonprofit organization, Agency in good standing, Meets at least (1) community impact area of Education, Health or Financial Sustainability, Fully complies with required documentation and grant reporting from Lenoir/Greene United Way, Ability to provide measurable goals and outcomes on service population.
Kay Harrell Wins 2023 Lighthouse Award
Kay Harrell was honored with the 2023 Lighthouse Award by Lenoir/Greene United Way on Wednesday, July 19 at the nonprofit organization’s nautical-themed gala, “Set Sail With Us.” Presenting sponsor, Dr. Rusty Hunt representing Lenoir Community College shared Harrell’s impressive bio with a full house of attendees.
ENC Renaissance Faire Donates $3,500 to Lenoir/Greene United Way
ENC Renaissance Faire recently made a donation of $3,500 to Lenoir/Greene United Way. The 2nd Annual Renaissance Faire was held at the Lenoir County Fairgrounds on April 22-23, 2023 where close to 4,000 people were in attendance.
Amazon, United Way Donate to Local Shelters
Amazon’s local Kinston plant and Lenoir/Greene United Way teamed up to donate personal care products to three local shelters. Donations of men’s and women’s undergarments, toiletries, socks and cleansing wipes were given to Greene County Interfaith in Snow Hill, SAFE and the Friends of the Homeless shelter…a donation valued at over $1,000.

United Way of Wayne County received a $2,000.00 donation from Rotaract Club to support volunteer efforts in Wayne and Lenoir County.
United Way coordinates donation of 55,000 face masks to LCPS
A coronavirus prevention effort promoted by United Way Worldwide and coordinated locally by Lenoir-Greene United Way is providing 55,000 washable face masks for the students, teachers and staff of Lenoir County Public Schools. The donation translates into more than five face masks for all students and staff at the 16 Title I schools in the district.
Moen donates to Lenoir-Greene United Way's COVID-19 support
Moen generously donated $2,500 on Tuesday, April 28 to help aid in local coronavirus relief efforts. The donation was presented to Lenoir/Greene United Way’s “COVID-19 Response Fund” and the funds will be designated for local nonprofit, Mary’s Kitchen
